NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 49 (4) OF THE ACT
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(4) of the Act, of an application for change of reservation on a portion of Bulawayo Golf Club Lease for a proposed hotel in terms of section 49(4) of the Regional Town and Country Planning Act Chapter 29:12 Revised Edition 1996. The property measures 3.08 hectares in extent.
The property in question is reserved for active public open spaces in terms of the operative Bulawayo Town Planning Scheme and Local Plan Number 5. It is proposed that a hotel site be established thereon. The site is situated on a portion of the Bulawayo Golf Course and is abutting the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair grounds. The stand will be serviced with both water, sewer and roads.
Details of the application and site plans can be inspected at the office of the undersigned during normal office working hours.
In terms of Section 49(4) of the Act, the Minister of Local Government and Public Works is obliged to give public notice of his intention to consent to the change of the said reservation and transfer of the created stand free from any restrictions limiting the use of the land to public open space.
Any person wishing to make any representations or objections to the application should lodge them in writing with the undersigned within 30 days from the first insertion of this notice.
