Vehicle Tracking Operator

ENGINEERING SERVICES DEPARTMENT

The following Internal positions have arisen within the City of Bulawayo:

1. Main Responsibilities /Job Summary
  • • Monitors all Council fleet through Global Positioning System (tracking systems).
  • • Provides historical information on vehicle movement.
  • • Creates and monitors no go areas (geo-fencing).
  • • Monitors and acts on all alerts related to drivers’ behaviour which include over speeding, excessive idle, harsh acceleration, harsh braking.
  • • Monitors fuel usage and tracks performance.
2. Qualifications Requirements
  • • At least 5 ‘O’ levels including English and Maths.
  • • Certificate in Transport Management or equivalent.
  • • Clean class 4 driver’s licence.
3. Experience and Skills
  • • At least 1 year experience in a similar environment.
  • • Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Internet.
