The Natural History Museum is situated along Leopold Takawira Avenue in the City of Bulawayo. The museum was officially opened in 1964; it contains some superb and unique displays with exhibits illustrating the history, mineral wealth and wildlife of Zimbabwe, including the second largest mounted elephant in the world. Open daily and during Public Holidays (except Christmas Day and Good Friday) from 9am - 5pm. Refreshments available. Entrance charge in foreign currency for visitors: $10US - local visitors $5US
