The City of Bulawayo is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Makhosi Tshalebwa as Human Capital Director with effect from the 1st September 2022.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management both from the National University of Science and Technology as well as a National Diploma in Accountancy from the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO).
Makhosi Tshalebwa also holds a Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management, Diploma in Human Resources among other professional and academic certificates from the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe.
He joined the City of Bulawayo as a Senior Clerical Assistant in July 1990 and has held various posts which include Administrative Assistant II (November 1999 – March 2001) , Senior Administrative Assistant (April 2001 – February 2004), Human Resources Officer (2004 – January 2011) and Principal Human Resources Officer (February 2011 – September 2013).
He was appointed Human Resources Manager under the Town Clerk’s Department on the 1st October 2013.
Mr Makhosi Tshalebwa has been Acting Human Capital Director for the Human Capital Department following the establishment of the Department in February 2019.
Mr Makhosi Tshalebwa is a strategic and motivational human resources practitioner who was key in leading the City of Bulawayo Job Evaluation Project which included workplace restructuring, staff rationalisation, job evaluation and regrading.
Mr Tshalebwa is a member of the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ).
The City of Bulawayo congratulates Makhosi Tshalebwa on his appointment and wishes him well in the execution of his duties.
