TOWN CLERK'S DEPARTMENT 7 POSTS

The following Vacancies have arisen within the City of Bulawayo:

PROCUREMENT OFFICER - GRADE 9 - (3 POSTS)
1. Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary
  1. Prepares and process tender documents.
  2. Maintains and manages Contracts and the Contracts Register.
  3. Performs supplier selection, evaluation and registration.
  4. Sources quotations, evaluates them and prepares buying orders.
  5. Formulates Contract Agreements in liaison with prospective suppliers and contractors.
  6. Compiles staff returns
  7. Prepares monthly procurement reports.
  8. Collates information on Annual Procurement Plan for the City of Bulawayo
2. Qualifications Requirements
  1. A Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or Equivalent.
  2. A member of a relevant professional board would be an added advantage.
  3. A clean class 4 drivers’ licence.
3. Experience
  1. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT - GRADE 6

1. Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary
  1. Maintains proper records of contracts documents.
  2. Takes minutes in procurement meetings.
  3. Prepares payment vouchers.
  4. Prepares requisitions for the Procurement Management Unit.
  5. Schedules meetings in the Procurement Unit.
  6. Keeps custody of and distributes consumables within the Procurement Management Unit.
  7. Receives and distributes enquiries to relevant parties.
  8. Sales tender documents.
2. Qualifications Requirements
  1. A Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
3. Experience
  1. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.

PROCUREMENT CLERK - GRADE 5

1. Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary
  1. Processes records of contracts documents.
  2. Receives and distributes procurement related correspondence.
  3. Opens tender boxes.
  4. Compiles procurement canvases.
  5. Distributes orders to prospective suppliers.
  6. Captures issued purchase orders.
2. Qualifications Requirements
  1. A certificate in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
  2. 5 ‘O’ Levels Subjects including English Language and Maths/Accounts.
3. Experience
  1. At least 1 year’ experience in a similar environment.

RECORDS CLERK - GRADE 4 (3 POSTS)

1. Main Responsibilities/ Job Summary
  1. Files correspondence in relevant files.
  2. Repairs worn-out files.
  3. Performs photocopying duties.
  4. Scans and emails documents to respective officers and departments.
2. Qualifications Requirements
  1. 5 ‘O’ Levels Subjects including English Language.
  2. A Certificate in Records and Archives Management or equivalent.
3. Experience
  1. At least 1 year experience in a similar environment.
